Due to unseasonably cool weather and flooding, the Rockford Park District is taking District-wide measures to reduce the overall deficit created by lost revenue. Unfortunately, we've had to make some hard decisions, which include ending several summer programs earlier than originally planned. The following programs are affected:

• Sizzlin' Summer and Teen Scene at Blackhawk Boys & Girls Club ends Friday, July 25
• Time 2 Play Playgrounds Program ends Thursday, July 31
• Summer Fun Dayz at Lewis Lemon ends Friday, August 8

• Kid Zones (ages 5-11): Froberg School, 4555 20th St; Marsh School, 2021 Hawthorne Dr; Windsor School, 935 Windsor Rd.
• Summer Fun Dayz Too (ages 5-10): Washington Park Community Center, 3617 Delaware St.
• Nature Quest (ages 5-10): Linda K White Center at Alpine Park, 623 N. Alpine Rd
• Camp Lone Oak (ages 9-14): Atwood Environmental Center, 2685 New Milford School Rd.
